Playing Trains

Today I was upstairs working when I suddenly realized I hadn't heard from Cameron and Jake for some time. The silence convinced me they were up to trouble. I went down to the basement, sure they had gotten into the craft supplies, and I found them sweetly playing trains together. I had to take a picture since it is such a rare event to have them playing trains so nicely. Jake usually breaks the track or they fight over who had which trains. I love moments like this.

Double Stroller

There have been lots of emails going around between Christine, Ellen, Marie, and I about the best double stroller. Well, I think Cameron solved the whole dilemma!

Brian the Dentist

Last weekend we got to go to Albany to visit Brian and Christine (and Lincoln). The main reason for the trip was so I could take advantage of Brian's new dentist skills to fix my broken filling, but we've been wanting to go visit them anyway. It was so much fun hanging out with them. We really wish we lived closer!

Brian is quite the dentist and I am very proud of him. He has worked really hard to get where he is now. I got to hang out at the office for awhile and hear him interact with his patients. He has such a gift with people and really makes people feel comfortable! He fixed me right up!

Tyler got to come along and gave his best argument for why he needs dentures.

Brian considered, but in the end it couldn't be. Poor Tyler.

Later Ben came with the two older boys. Brian told Jake he could pick a prize out of the treasure chest if he sat in the dentist chair. Brian had just enough time to count Jake's teeth and then Jake was done. He hopped out of the chair and ran straight for his prize.

After sitting with a terribly worried look on his face all morning and being close to tears, Cameron decided to let Brian "count" his teeth so he could choose a prize from the treasure chest too. When Brian got going, Cameron decided getting your teeth cleaned really isn't scary and is actually very cool.

He got the works, including bubble gum flavored flouride treatment.

He was so proud of his clean teeth.

He just kept showing them off!

And he got a cool foam airplane just like Jake.

Finally, it was Ben's turn. He had a great dental assistant helping him.

Brian cleaned and cleaned...

And cleaned some more.

Anything to keep Ben's beautiful smile looking good!

After our trip to the dentist, we were able to play the rest of the weekend. A trip to Izzy's, golfing for the boys, Costco and Target fun, playing in the backyard, reorganizing furniture, playing with Lincoln, hanging up Brian's new TV, watching the BYU football game, going to the park, having a date night at home with Johnny Carino's takeout while the kids slept...so much fun.

I wish my camera battery would have been charged so I could have taken more pictures. I really wish I had a picture of Cam, Jake, and Lincoln standing on empty baskets and watching the garbage truck out the window on Friday morning (it made about 12 passes for some reason).

On our way back home, Ben thought of an ingenious way to turn our stroller in to a triple stroller. Everyone in the airport was looking at us. A girl said, "You have to get a picture of that!" so I did. (Don't worry, one of us was always holding on to Tyler.)

Thanks for all the fun Brian and Christine! We can't wait to come again!

Joy School

Today was Cameron's first day of Joy School. We have been counting down for this day for weeks. He was so excited he even let me comb his hair without crying. Here is a picture of the boys all ready for the walk around the corner to Joy School.

Cameron was very happy to be able to bring his cool alligator backpack. The only thing inside it was a grasshopper in a plastic container for show and tell.

We went out early this morning to catch the grasshopper and in twenty minutes we only saw two. Good thing Cameron is so good at catching them! I think he had the coolest show and tell in his whole class. When I went to pick him up, a few of the moms were standing around talking about it.

While Cameron was gone, Jake's cute friend Parker came over to play.

I was unloading the dishwasher a few feet away and when I looked over I saw this.

They were having a wonderful time feeding George their raisins. Don't you just love two year olds? They are always finding new ways to have a good time!

After Joy School Cameron said, "Thanks for coming to get me. I didn't want to live at that house." It was pretty funny. Now he can't wait to go again!
