Lawrence Hall of Science

Yesterday Randy and I decided to take the boys to the Lawrence Hall of Science. (Ben is in New York and we're in California visiting.) I LOVE having a museum pass that gets us into these kind of places for free! Here are some pictures of the fun. I really want to get some of these blocks for the kids. They are great.

Here is Tyler putting on a show.

The kids loved these big blocks. Randy built endless structures that they loved to play in and knock over.

They loved to get trapped in them!

Here are Randy and the boys playing with some magnet things. Cameron and Jake were too busy to look at the camera.

Outside they had a big whale that Randy remembered playing on as a kid. They had a lot of fun on it!

What a fun outing!

Jake's First Day of Preschool

Today was Jake's first day of Mother Goose Time preschool. He was a bit bummed that we weren't having it at our house first, but he got over it quickly. He was so excited to wear his backpack and be with his friends.

I can't believe my little Jake is getting so old!

Lego Creations

Cameron and Jake have been having tons of fun playing with their new legos.

Here is a close up of Cameron's fine "caration."

Jake loves to play too. They couldn't wait to take pictures to send to Grandma Cathy!

Pizza Night

Last night we had the three families that live in our complex over for homemade pizza.

Here is sweet Tyler, helping out in the kitchen.

Ben and I had fun preparing the toppings and putting them on display.

The kids all had a blast thanks to our cool new picnic tables from Costco. I'm so glad we have already made so many friends. The kids love having friends to play with all the time.

Folding Towels

I think my life has changed forever. Cameron learned how to fold towels and he loves it. Now we'll have to see how long the excitement lasts...

By the way, we don't normally have that many white rags to fold. I had just washed them all with bleach.

Making Beds

We have been working on teaching the kids to make their beds. Cameron is really proud every time he does his.

Jake is only responsible for his "pets."

I laugh every single time I see how he does it. He is so careful to line them up perfectly face down.

Valentine's Day

I was one of the lucky few who had four Valentines yesterday. Although Cameron told me I only had three because Tyler doesn't know what love means... I disagree.

A few years ago Ben and I started a tradition to have a red and pink dinner on Valentine's day. Our first ever was at BYU with a bunch of friends and we all wore red and pink. A few of the guys wore pink. It was great. And so our tradition continues. This year we made some pink raviolis with our new pasta maker.
When we were almost done I had a great idea to cut them out with a heart cookie cutter.

We had just enough heart ones for the kids.

Here they are all finished! Yum!

Cameron loved them!

Jake loved the cheese on top. (He woke up with a fever last night, so he probably wasn't feeling well.)

We went back home after dinner and had a Cars movie night in the basement and ate popcorn and carmel apples (with red sticks) and drank sprite with red heart ice cubes. What a great day! I love Valentine's Day!
